Välkommen till expeditionen.
This month TakingITGlobal's theme is Human Rights and Equity. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights Article 1 states: "All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood. Article 3 states: "everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person." However, these two articles fail to be held up in many locations and contexts all over the world. TakingITGlobal members share and discuss issues related to this theme each day on our Human Rights and Equity discussion boards.
Participate here and share your voice on Human Rights issues
Human Rights aren't just the responsibilities of governments. Each person can do their part to respect people of all cultures and treat them with dignity.

Featured Country: Kenya
The Republic of Kenya is an Eastern African country bordering the Indian Ocean, whose climate ranges from tropical along the coastal regions, to arid in the interior of the country. Kenya is also home to the second highest peak in Africa: Mount Kenya, as well as one of the most successful agricultural areas in Africa: the Kenyan Highlands. TakingITGlobal has over 3,000 members from Kenya, and some of those members participated in International Youth Day Celebrations in Nairobi that showcased UN youth programs.
